UPDATING NETSCAPE 6.2

This section contains instructions on how to update your Netscape 6.2 settings.

To begin, open Netscape. On the main application menu choose Edit, then Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.

Currently Netscape doesn't support editing of all account details, specifically changes to the server and account name. 

In order to setup Netscape to collect your mail you will need to create a new account. Choose create new account from the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings dialog box.

Choose a standard account, Select ISP or email provider and click the Next button.

Enter your name and expected email address, this should be youremail@proweb.net

Click Next to configure the server.

Enter pop.proweb.net as your incoming server. Click the Next button to continue.

	youremail/proweb.net

You should now enter the username, please note, in Netscape the @ symbol is forbidden as a component of an account name so we need to substitute the @ symbol with a forward slash /

Enter youremail/proweb.net and click the Next button.

Enter a friendly name for this account and click Next to finish the configuration wizard.

Confirm that all the settings are correct, if everything is correct click the Finish button to be returned to the Mail & Newsgroups Account manager.

Close this and test your new email account by clicking the "Get Mail" button on the main application screen. If there are any problems please review your configuration. If these are correct and you have a working Internet connection please contact Proweb (UK) Ltd support.

If there are any previous Mail account configured you can now remove these, they will no longer be needed.
